Michael Jackson Conspiracy Theories That Will Send Shivers Down Your Spine

It’s almost ten years since the death of the King of Pop, but Michael Jackson continues to hit the headlines and dominate the radio waves.

Indeed, as one of the world’s most influential and talented musicians and performers, MJs legacy will no doubt live on for many decades to come, but like any illusive star, there are some conspiracy theories that simply won’t shift.

Below, we’ve put together some of the most (and controversial) popular conspiracy theories surrounding Michael Jackson and Jackson 5.

Read on for all of the gossip, and let us know which one shocked you the most by getting in touch via email or social media.

Michael Jackson Died Before 2009

When Jackson announced he was going to play a string of shows at London’s O2 Arena, the world went mad for MJ once again.

But some fans argue that his appearance was unusual and that he had actually been replaced by an impersonator.

We can all rule this one out, as the This Is It concert DVD undoubtedly featured footage of the real MJ, but it certainly makes you think when you rewatch the press conference, where MJ announced his ‘final shows’…

Michael Jackson Is Still Alive

Some people have questioned whether the King of Pop really died, or whether he faked his own death to get away from the constant pressure of the media and to flee from his debts.

In fact, Jackson was even ‘spotted by fans’ at his nephew’s wedding in 2017. It sounds feasible and similar to the rumors of 2 Pac, who also supposedly faked his own death, but a Los Angeles coroner confirmed that they carried out a post-mortem on Jackson’s real body…

Michael Jackson Overdosed

Several reports claim that Jackson was killed by a drug overdose. Speaking to ABC News in 2009, law enforcement said that Jackson was addicted to the Oxycontin painkiller and that it was injected into his body once a day.

Following Jackson’s death, Dr. Conrad Murray was jailed for two years after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Murray has since released a tell-all book proclaiming his innocence and sharing gossip of living with Michael.

Michael Wasn’t Innocent

Michael Jackson faced several lawsuits and trials throughout his career and following child sexual abuse accusations, MJ reached a financial settlement of $23,000,000 with the Chandlers, and the investigation was closed.

However, a horrifying new documentary entitled Leaving Neverland suggests Wade Robson and Jimmy Safechuck were sexually abused by the late star. Whilst the Jackson family said that “Michael Jackson was and always will be 100% innocent of these false allegations,” it remains to be seen what impact the upcoming movie will have on Michael’s legacy, and whether new lawsuits will follow.
