I’ve been waiting to write a review until I needed to open a glass jar of coconut oil. They are the hardest thing for me to open. I had to whack the lid in several places, run it under hot water, then finally twist with a rubber opener. I tried this this week and it was wonderful. I also opened a jar of maple syrup. I’m 70 with some arthritis in my thumbs. I highly recommend this jar opener.

I was estatic when I realized that someone still makes this style of jar opener. We had one at home when I was a kid and it opened everything. I have 3-4 other jar openers in my kitchen and have had to pick and choose which kind to use, based on the jar. So far this little gem has opened everything I've tried with it (and without hurting my hands).

I've bought other types before but I believe this one works better. Easy to use. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and it makes it easy for me. I don't have to wait for anyone to open things for me anymore.

I bought this for my 89-year old Mom with severe rheumatic arthritis. This works great, even for her on jars fresh from the grocery store. Simple to use and much easier on the hands. Using a rubber grip pad to hold the jar while twisting the top makes it even easier.

Makes opening a jar while cooking much easier. If you have wet or oily hands, you can still use this to pop open a jar.

Every time I enjoy a Ginger Jam waffle I bless this device. I couldn't get the lid off my ginger preserves until this jar opener arrived. Just as described, shipped immediately, sturdy enough to last a lifetime. Every Senior household needs one, but only one, of these.

I use this gadget more often than expected. I find sitting the "teeth" on the lid a little tricky and I believe twisting in the opposite direction is what is confusing me but it works and only takes seconds to figure out. Regardless how tight the seal, this jar opener has not failed in opening a jar thus far. Happy to have it!

Love - love - love this kitchen tool. I don’t have arthritis but I don’t have the hand strength to open a lot of containers. This tool makes it possible for me to independently open ANY size container from a pickle jar to a bottle of olive oil.

This thing is so helpful in my daily life. It's better than any other product I've tried, including the rubber grippies that seemed to be my only real option. I so still use the grippie to hold the bottom of the jar sometimes, but this opener works incredibly well, and every time! Now, I want them to make an even smaller one that can open little tops on things like makeup and glue :)
